Join us and play American Mahjong with neighbors and friends! No experience required; we’re happy to teach you. We meet approximately 6-8 times each month on Sunday, Wednesday & Tuesday afternoons.

Caregivers and their children ages 0-5 years are invited to join us from 10:00-11:00 am at the Shady Hollow Community Center for “Mornings with Mommy.”
What is “Mornings with Mommy?”
It isn’t a preschool, and it isn’t childcare; it’s something different. Mornings with Mommy is a fun and easy way for you to enjoy activities with your children and meet other moms (dads, grandparents, nannies – any caregiver can join us!)
Think of it as a neighborhood playdate with learning activities, too!
We’ll have age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers including arts & crafts, a sensory table, story time, music, educational toys, snack time, and play. The program is run by volunteers (and the Shady Hollow HOA Board of Directors has graciously allowed us to use the facility), so the only cost is $5 per family per session to reserve a spot and pay for yummy snacks and craft supplies.
Mornings with Mommy’s teacher
Becca Backhaus lives in Shady Hollow. She’s Mom to 4 wonderful adult children and a (young) retired teacher with experience in early childhood and elementary education.

Garden Club

Quilting With Friends Club
Calling all Shady Hollow Quilters! Join us every 3rd Thursday from 1pm-4pm to engage in various topics regarding quilting. Please bring your project to show and tell and share your skill as a quilter, crafter, or come as a friend.

Boy Scout Troop 82
Troop 82 is based in South Austin, Texas. We are part of the Capitol Area Council (Thunderbird).
The troop started in 2021 with 6th graders during COVID and has now built to over 20 scouts in the troop.
We love camping, fishing, and completing advancements. We'll have some Eagle scouts in the next year.
We have camped at Lost Pines, Camp Green Dixon, San Marcos, Davis Mountains, and others...
